How does the androgen receptor promote increased muscle size and strength?
- The androgen receptor (AR) is a member of the steroid hormone receptor family.
- Androgen receptor ligands such as testosterone and locally synthesised dihydrotestosterone, bind to the androgen receptor.
- Once together they relocate into the cell nucleus where they can turn on the genes and communicate instructions for the cell to perform.
For example, if the cell is within the muscle where contractile proteins are produced, this signals an increase in muscle size and strength. The mitochondrial proteins will supply increased fuel to the cell because it has been instructed to by the genes.

What are selective androgen receptor modulators?

Are the side effects from anabolic steroid use really that undesirable?
Steroidal androgens aka steroids typically convert to DHT or Oestrogen. Side effects listed for use of any pharmaceutical or therapy is usually an indication of discomfort or risk of experiencing side effects.

The Androgen Receptor and Testosterone
The SARMs that provide the benefits of muscular growth and bone growth are those that accentuate the effect of the male hormone testosterone. However, SARMS offers this without the androgenic impact that testosterone would usually produce. This gives a distinct advantage whereby SARMS can be used by females. Because the hair and skin cells are not affected, excess hair does not occur.

SARMS Injection and SARMS Peptide Cream
There are two forms of SARMs that we may offer our qualifying patients. Both of them can be administered via injection or be applied as a topical cream.
SARMs S-22 – Fluid base, requires a thinner diameter to inject but can be quite irritating and sting for a few minutes afterwards. Please note that this is not doing any harm just irritating the nerves.
SARMs S-22 -Forte (Ostarine Forte)- The Ostarine Forte has a 50% stronger concentration of the SARMs forte, but it’s in an oil base which means a more substantial needle is necessary for administration. The good news is that it does not have the same painful sting as SARMS S-22.
So the SARMs forte binds to the androgen receptor and then attaches to the androgen-sensitive genes in the cells of the body.

The molecules are so small they can be absorbed through the skin, but as with all creams, not everybody absorbs them well, in fact, 10% – 20% of people don’t. The good news is 80% – 90% do absorb it well giving them an alternative to injecting if they so choose. The Benefits of SARMS Forte (Ostarine)
The SARMS Forte (Ostarine Forte) the S-22, accentuates the testosterone effects in bone and muscle tissue.
Using in both men and women is safe. It has also been used on people with catabolic diseases to further research the benefits.
